WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT
Crochetpreneur’s online events began in 2020, when a planned in-person retreat moved online. The following year it grew into a full summit with more than 20 expert speakers, and it has been an annual event ever since, reaching more than 50,000 attendees in total.
The Profitable Designer is our eighth online event and our first created especially for knit and crochet designers.
Our mission is simple: give makers the tools, strategies and community they need to build profitable businesses.

How Speakers Earn
The Profitable Designer is free to attend. Attendees can upgrade to the Designer Profit Pass, which includes replays of every session, bonus content from our speakers, and extra coaching and engagement throughout the event.
- 50% commission on Designer Profit Pass sales through your affiliate link
- 60% commission when you contribute an item with a retail value of $25+ to the Designer Profit Pass
- 30% commission on Crochetpreneur Business Academy enrollments: paid once on lump-sum purchases, and every month for as long as your referral stays in the CBA Accelerator monthly membership
- Affiliate leaderboard with prizes for top earners
As a speaker, you’ll register as an affiliate. Then, when you promote the summit using your unique affiliate link, you’ll earn a 30% commission on every sale made through your referral—plus, enjoy a higher, 40% commission rate if you contribute to the bundle!
What We Ask of Speakers
- Complete the basic information form and speaker contract (about 10 minutes)
- Submit a 15–25 minute pre-recorded presentation on your agreed topic
- Promote the event to your audience during the promotion period
- Optional: contribute an item to the Designer Profit Pass, host a live Q&A in the attendee Facebook group, join a speaker panel, or sign up for a coffee chat interview

This is the promotional period for the summit. We ask you to share widely during this time.
MARCH 2 - 5, 2027
This is when the summit will take place. Your presentation will go live on it's scheduled day.

The Profitable Designer Presentation Guidelines
- Length: 15–25 minutes. Focused, concise content beats filler.
- Format: slides, no slides, or a combination of these.
- Introduction: 3 minutes or less
- Content: one clear outcome, one practical example relevant to knit and crochet pattern businesses, and one manageable action attendees can take right away
- Style: a valuable lesson, not a sales pitch
- Freebie: invite attendees to a related freebie in the last 3 minutes or less
- Watermark: please leave room in the bottom right corner for The Profitable Designer watermark

HOW DO I RECORD MY PRESENTATION
You can record a slide presentation or use screen recording software like QuickTime, Camtasia, OBS or Loom. If you’d prefer an interview-style presentation with Pam, email [email protected] to schedule a time.
WHEN AND HOW DO I SUBMIT MY PRESENTATION?
Presentations are due January 15, 2027. Once we receive your basic information form, we’ll send you an upload link. You can upload through Google Drive, Dropbox or Vimeo; please make sure downloads are enabled.
DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT DURING THE TIME OF MY PRESENTATION?
No. Your presentation goes live automatically. Live Q&As, speaker panels and coffee chat interviews are all optional, but they’re a great way to connect with attendees.
WHAT ARE THE PROMOTION EXPECTATIONS?
We ask every speaker to share the event with their audience during the promotion period, February 16 – March 2. We’ll provide email swipe copy, social media posts and graphics to make it easy.

Step 1
Fill out the application!
Please fill out the application as best you can. We ask that you complete this as soon as possible. You will hear back from our team by the last week of January at the very latest.

Step 2
Record & Submit your presentation by January 15th
Your presentation should be 15-25 minutes long and should be pre-recorded. We will ask for you to adhere to our presentation guidelines (see below). Once your presentation is recorded, submit the presentation (by the due date).
Step 3
Sign up for the affiliate program and plan your promotion
We will provide you with promotional graphics, pre-written email and social media swipe copy, the whole 9 yards. Be sure to grab your affiliate link and use it when planning your promo.
Step 4
Promote the summit during the promotional window Feb 16th – March 2nd, 2027
In the promotional period, plan to share the summit via email and social media using your affiliate link!
Step 5
Get Paid! Payout Day: March 31, 2027
On March 31, we’ll pay out everything you’ve earned:
- Your $100 speaker fee, plus your $100 bonus if you completed all contract commitments on time
- Commissions on Designer Profit Pass sales made through your affiliate link (50%, or 60% if you contributed to the Pass)
- Commissions on Crochetpreneur Business Academy enrollments made through your link. Your event affiliate link tracks these automatically. And, if someone you refer joins the monthly CBA Accelerator membership, you’ll keep earning 30% every month they stay.
